The Polar Bear Jump is a New Years Day Inman Park tradition where dozens of brave souls (over 50 this year) jump in the freezing pool. This is an idea that was hatched on New Year's Eve Y2K after a challenge was accepted (apparently after a few shots). It has grown each year and participants get comforted with a fire pit and, for some, an Irish Coffee or 2 for bravery.
